Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking.

Post date: Friday 21 March 2014

After doing a post on Primark's Spring/Summer 2014 collection, I couldn't resist popping in to my local store the other day for a very quick look around. I barely got to investigate any of their new collection properly, but this daisy print swing dress caught my eye and so I had to purchase it. Not having had time to try it on, I was delighted to get home and find that it fitted perfectly and was nice and comfy. We've had two or three sunny days over the past few weeks, and even though the golden rays were accompanied by fierce winds, it was the perfect time to début my new frock.

I decided to team it with a simple black cardigan I picked up from H&M in Cardiff. I love this cardigan and have hardly taken it off since purchasing it, it's a nice chic cut and is a great lightweight alternative to a jacket on warmer days. My H&M boots were the obvious choice to pair with my new Spring outfit, as it's still too chilly for any form of sandal, and they add a slightly more grungy feel to an otherwise very girly outfit. I must also credit my mum for the adorable socks; after requesting some frilly ones for Christmas, she crocheted a frill on to an old pair of white socks and left them under the tree for me!

Have you started wearing any Spring pieces yet?

  2. I went to Primark today! I couldn't find that dress, which is great because I would have been quite disappointed now that I've seen how beautiful it is.
And i've already worn quite a few Spring items. Weather has been so good in here, lately! xx
